Some ideas on 'puzzling through'

Wanted to share some ideas with you! I originally wrote this in one of my journal entries, have recently expanded on it and wanted to share...

David Boud wrote "writing is a means of puzzling through what is happening in our work and our personal lives."(2001)

I took this extract from the module handbook and at first reading it was an interesting quote, something to think about, that might spark ideas. On reading the paragraph it was clear that 'puzzling through' is an idea that I must get used to.
Now that I've been journaling it did spark ideas!
I began thinking of ways you approach a puzzle. I’ve used a jigsaw puzzle as my inspiration.

Black= The Piece       Blue= The reason        Orange= In relation to my journal

The corners piece:           The key stone, without which they'll never be definition.                            Your outline, the reason for writing.

The Edge:                            The outline                        Making a guided structure.

The middle pieces:          You then create the picture. The details that make a product.     How you link your descriptions and ides together to finish your entry into something of interest.

The reflection:                  What you’ve achieved.                 How to use what you've done to change, improve and re-use.

Task 1b: Professional communication technology

Trying to channel all my thoughts on Professional communications technology was hard. The more I read and research the more questions I had. Tried to keep it relatively short, and not leave too many questions unanswered! :)

Writing a journal

I'm sure everyones found their own way to write a journal, but thought I'd share mine as it might be helpful!
I'm using Microsoft Office OneNote... It's a program that I uploaded to my laptop to get Word, excel etc. It's brilliant, I discovered it whilst doing a project at college and its great bacause you open the page, can click anywhere and start typing. It automatically saves and uses boxes, which you can always add too, but I like that they can be anywhere on the page. You can add loads of different tabs for differnent thought paths, and also link internet addresses and photos...  It basically turns into a massive scrap book of your thoughts, things that you've stumbled apon and research! I'd highly recomend it, it's great to have everything in one place!
Hope that explaination is understanable!!  :)

Task 1a

So I started of writing a personal profile, but the more I looked at my current performance Cv, the more I disliked it. So, I took a little break from the writing to edit my Cv. It's very simular in structure, but I hated the black boxes, felt it was too masculine. Wanted it to be simple and clear. Would really appreciate comments on weather is clear, of if I need to make certain information more difined?!
Have included it below, hope you can see it, if not I'll add it via a flickr album!

Task 1d

Here are some photo's from past college performances that ideally I'd like to accompany my personal profile. Am still sorting mine out, but thought I'd give you a taste of past experiences! I think these photo's show the type of characters that I've played and best represent me as a performer.
Most of the photos are from rehearsals, tech runs and not performances, would love feedback on weather they're suitable enough?!
I've managed to put the photo's along the side of my blog.. am actually quite proud of this! Technology is getting easier!!

Being a Blogger...

Well so far it's turned out I'm not a natural Blogger. I think about bogging and what I could write, but something holds me back, so today I've sat down to work out why and start to change it!
I love talking, could talk for hours, so why is blogging so different? I think a part of it is once it's said, its real. That doesn't mean it's fact or knowledge, just that it's real, without being always being right.
I'm a planner, my room is filled with to-do lists, I like the fact that you write it down a tick it off, you've achieved something! Even if it's just to tidy your room... With a to-do list it's no longer just something you've done, it's something you've achieved! I like that!! But bloggng is totally different. To me, somethimes it feels like one of those dreams where you're running, but you're not going anywhere.... But actually I think you reach a point, look back and realise how far you've come!
So from this day forward I will not plan to blog, I will not wait till I'm in my happy productive place, I will just write and whatever happens, happens!!! :)
